AI
Let guests ask your menu a question
A read-only assistant on your ordering site that answers from your live menu, hours, delivery area and deals.
Updated
What you get
Plain questions
Guests ask for something spicy without nuts, and the assistant searches your menu the way they asked.
Answers from your data
It reads your live menu, hours, delivery area and deals, never guesses, and explains one dish with its sizes, extras, allergens and dietary tags.
Delivery checks
It can say whether you deliver to a postcode, and the fee.
Read only
It cannot place or change an order. It helps the guest choose, then the guest checks out as usual.
Your switch
The owner switches it on, and every use is logged against your plan's AI credits.
What it does
Most guests have a question before they order: is it spicy, is there something without nuts, are you open, do you deliver to me. Ask the menu answers them on your own ordering website, in plain words, without a phone call.
How it works
- The owner switches the assistant on for the restaurant.
- A guest opens the chat on your ordering site and types or speaks a question.
- The assistant looks things up with six read-only tools: it searches the menu, explains one dish, checks opening hours, checks whether you deliver to a postcode and what it costs, lists today's deals and offers the next order ahead times.
- It answers from that data and links the guest to the dish.
- The guest adds it to the basket and checks out as usual.
What it will not do
It cannot place or change an order, and it cannot change your menu. If something is not in your data, it says so and does not make an answer up. For allergies a notice reminds the guest that the information comes from what the restaurant has recorded.
Cost and control
Each use is logged with its feature and cost against your plan's monthly AI credits, and owners can see AI usage in Settings. AI features need the owner's consent to a data notice, and a super admin can switch features off. The answers are only as good as your menu, so keep allergens and dietary tags up to date.
What it replaces
It replaces answering the same questions on the phone during service, and a generic chat widget that knows nothing about your menu. For the staff side, see the manager copilot.
Questions and answers
Can it place an order?
No. On the website it only reads. The guest checks out in the normal way. Voice ordering on a kiosk or lane is a separate feature.
Where does it get its answers?
From your live menu, opening hours, delivery area and current deals.
Can I turn it off?
Yes. The owner decides whether it is on.
Does it handle allergies?
It reports the allergens you have recorded on a dish. It is not a substitute for a person when a guest has a serious allergy, and a notice says so.
