What you get

  • Photo, PDF or text

Import from a photo of a menu, a PDF with text or a scan, or text you paste in.

  • A draft, not a surprise

You see categories, dishes, descriptions and prices before anything is saved, and you can fix what it got wrong.

  • Allergens stay with people

The AI may suggest allergens from ingredients, but a person confirms them. It cannot write the allergen field itself.

  • Included in your trial

The 30 day trial includes 500 AI credits, enough to import a menu, and paid plans include a monthly allowance.

What it does

Typing a menu into a new system is the slowest job on opening day. Menu import reads the menu you already have and drafts it for you: categories, dishes, descriptions, prices and the options it can find. You open the draft in the Manager, correct anything that is wrong and save.

How it works

  1. In the Manager, open Menu and choose Import menu.
  2. Add a photo, a PDF or pasted text. A PDF with real text is read directly, and a scan is read as an image where a provider that can do that is available.
  3. The AI works through the menu in pieces and merges them into one draft.
  4. Review the draft: rename, regroup, fix prices, delete mistakes.
  5. Save. The dishes appear in your menu, ready for the till, the kitchen, the kiosk and your ordering website.

What to check afterwards

Prices and names come out well on a clean menu. Combinations are harder: a meal deal that lets a guest choose a main, a side and a drink often needs a person to set up the choices. Check those first. Then look at allergens and calories, which stay in your hands, and add translations if you serve guests in more than one language.

Control and cost

Importing uses AI credits, and you can see AI usage in Settings. The trial includes 500 credits, which is enough to import a menu from photos, and every paid plan has a monthly allowance. Owners accept an AI notice before their restaurant's data goes to a model, and the platform records every AI call with its cost.

What it replaces

It replaces hours of typing, or paying someone to build the menu for you. For the rest of your menu work, such as options, sizes and deals, see the menu builder.

Questions and answers

What can I import from?

A photo, a PDF with a text layer, a scanned PDF, or text you paste in. Scans need a provider that can read images, and the page says so if one is not available.

Will it get everything right?

Not always. It is a draft for you to check. Meal deals with several choices are the weakest part, so review those first.

Does it set allergens?

No. It can suggest allergens from ingredients, and a person must confirm them before they count.

What does it cost?

Importing uses AI credits from your plan. The trial includes 500 credits, and each paid plan includes a monthly allowance.
