What does Natasha's Law mean for a cafe or takeaway?
I make sandwiches in the morning and sell them from the counter. Do I need to put full ingredient labels on them?

Natasha's Law has applied in the UK since October 2021. Food that you make and pack on the same premises before the customer asks for it (called prepacked for direct sale) must carry a label with the name of the food and a full ingredients list, with the 14 major allergens emphasised, for example in bold.
Food made to order, or served loose from the counter, is different: you must be able to tell customers about allergens, in writing or by talking to them. Because the exact line between the two can matter, read the Food Standards Agency guidance or ask your local authority before you decide.
