How much do delivery apps really cost compared with my own ordering site?
The marketplace apps keep sending us orders but I am not sure we make money on them. How do I compare them with ordering direct?

Marketplace apps charge a commission on each order, often in the range of 15 to 30 percent depending on the plan and the contract, plus fees for promotions. Check your own contract and your own statements rather than a general figure.
To compare, take a typical order of 25 pounds: subtract the commission, the cost of the food and packaging, and the driver. Then do the same for an order on your own site, where DineHarbor takes no commission and you pay only the payment provider fee and your own delivery cost. Many restaurants keep the apps for finding new customers and push regulars to order direct.
